Oklahoma citizens may register to vote by submitting a completed application in person or by mail (to download a copy of this form, please click on the “Voter Registration Form” link below). Applications can be obtained at the County Election Board, tag agencies, most public libraries, LWV Offices and at the State Election Board. The voter application form asks for your name and address, your political affiliation, your birth date, your Oklahoma driver’s license number or the last four numbers of your Social Security number if you do not have a driver’s license. In Oklahoma, one may register as an Independent, a Democrat, or a Republican. However, Oklahoma primary elections are “closed,” that is , only registered Democrats and Republicans may vote in their respective primaries. After signing and dating the oath, mail your completed Voter Registration form to the State Election Board. You will be registered after you receive your voter identification card in the mail.
